Sunset Soirée: An Intimate Food Experience for a Cause

3^rd Annual Block Party

The Block Party aims to encourage youth in the community to take control of their health. It is a chance for the local community to come together for a day of family fun, including food, prizes, music, and more! On August 12^th, our young adults have the opportunity to learn more about CCI’s services, including confidential and free resources as well as from other health, fitness, career, and education organizations in the community.

Back to Work Shower

August is World Breastfeeding Week, and the theme is “Enable Breastfeeding: Making a Difference for Working Parents." To commemorate the occasion, CCI’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is hosting a Back to Work shower for its WIC participants on August 30th. This Shower will aid in preparing breastfeeding moms on the transition from feeding at the breast to pumping, in order to prepare them to have a successful pumping journey at work.

6^th Annual Run Baby Run

CCI’s annual Run Baby Run 5K raises funds and awareness about the importance of maternal and child health. Like communities across the country, our region experiences maternal and child health disparities that impact access to prenatal care services. The lack of access means birthing people and babies are at greater risk of complications during and after pregnancy. CCI continues to work to increase access to prenatal care by expanding services, providing health education and nutrition assistance across our communities so every pregnancy is as healthy as possible and every baby has the best start. after pregnancy

RAISE AWARENESS:

Your sponsorship will help sustain our mission, highlighting the region’s lack of health equity. Events held in the DC/Metro area will bring in those both familiar and unfamiliar with the lack of access to care for our under and uninsured neighbors and educate them on how they can help.

ENGAGE WITH THE CCI COMMUNITY:

We serve a mission that is bigger than ourselves, and we recognize that we cannot do this work alone. We foster a caring community of mutual support and actively pursue collaborations and partnerships to expand our reach. Inspiration Sponsors have the opportunity to participate as a vendor at the annual 5K, Block Party, and Back to Work event.
