Give young women the ability to take control of their reproductive health.

Challenge

Over the past few months, the most at-risk members of our community have been targeted. Specifically, safe and affordable access to reproductive health has been threatened. Many of us want to help, but are not sure where to start. In the DC Metro Area, we can all Do More on June 8th. For 24 hours, you can help women in this region take control of their reproductive health through giving access to family planning services.

Solution

Thanks to the generosity of people like you, CCI Health & Wellness Services provides family planning services to over 7,000 people each year. We provide low-cost, high-quality, trusted, bilingual, preventive reproductive health services in our 8 main independent health centers, as well as in 2 satellite clinic sites located within youth-serving organizations in the DC metro area. In the community, we provide pregnancy prevention education and outreach services at community events, health fairs, and through intensive presentations on reproductive health topics to youth and adults.

Long-Term Impact

By providing young women with access to preventive family planning services, you are not only impacting individual lives, but everyone in our community. It is clear that this is an issue that impacts all of us when 2/3 of families begun by young unwed mothers live in poverty; 60% of teen mothers drop out of high school; and only 3% get a college degree by age 30. Your gift helps young people reach their full potential.
